Rebranded website reflects changing times

THE WEST Midlands Ambulance Service website has undergone a contemporary redesign and rebranding to reflect the dynamic nature of the service. A spokesman said: "The Internet is an integral part of West Midlands Ambulance Service’s plan to communicate operational activities to the media and broaden its profile to the wider public. “The website contains many rich features that will guarantee that content is kept timely, relevant and informative, while significant improvements have been made in navigation, search and accessibility. “Content on the website is continuing to grow and the site itself will develop and evolve.

It is anticipated the website will incorporate educational material about the ambulance service. “In addition to its latest news on incidents attended, the site displays current vacancies within West Midlands Ambulance Service, an easy-to-read guide on how to use the 999 service and information (in a variety of languages) on Swine Flu. “There is also a dedicated section to the service’s plans to become a Foundation Trust. “In time, the site will begin to incorporate audio and video to both enhance the experience for public users of the site and for use by the media.” The site can be found at www.wmas.nhs.uk.
